PAYMENT INFORMATION

You will need to clarify with your insurer whether you have appropriate cover and whether they require you to pay an excess. To do this:

Call your insurer to ask whether you are covered for the procedure, and if they charge an excess fee for hospital admission:
  •     For a colonoscopy, the item number they may ask you to provide is 32222
  •     For a gastroscopy, the item number they may ask you to provide is 30473
  •     For a combined gastroscopy and colonoscopy, quote both item numbers (30473 + 32222)

Premier Gastroenterology charges an out of pocket fee for some procedures, depending on your specialist. This fee varies depending on your procedure and specialist - please contact our our bookings manager on 9428 1000 for further detail.

If you do not have private health insurance
Patients without private health insurance also have access to this service. Please feel free to contact our staff to obtain a quote for the cost of your procedure. You will be required to pay 1 week in advance of your procedure.

It is your responsibility to check your insurance status and confirm you have appropriate cover. If you do not have cover for your procedure, you will be required to pay the full procedural, anaesthetic and hospital admission fee.
