About Emma
Emma has over 12-years’ clinical experience in a wide variety of specialist areas within both the UK and Australian healthcare systems. She relocated to Melbourne from London 6 years ago and has been working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital throughout this time. She is a senior dietitian specialising in nutrition support within the areas of gastroenterology, intestinal failure and critical care. Emma strives for optimal patient care in order to improve the quality of life of patients with gastrointestinal diseases and has undertaken research and presented at national forums and conferences in this area. Emma is regularly involved in teaching, including on courses in the area of advanced nutritional support. She has undertaken additional training to gain advanced scope of practice for parenteral nutrition ordering and is one of only a handful dietitians in Australia to have achieved this. Emma works with patients suffering with a wide variety of gastrointestinal disorders including; inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease and intestinal failure. Emma ensures that nutritional therapy is tailored to each individual in order to achieve optimal patient outcomes. |
